Mink/Lashes - Ingredients Tab

Hi @TeamBIC ,

I wonder if you guys could send a feedback to whoever is responsible for the website/product pages that it would be great to have an ingredient page for lashes?

It seems like some products do and others don't. I'd appreciate to have a standard format to better compare the products.

Example:

1)The ingredients tab here tells me what I need to know

Has ingredient tab indicating that product is synthetic. 

2) It doesn't have an ingredients tab. It says that it is made of 'natural fibers' but it doesn't specify it (cotton, jute, silk, etc are natural fibers but they don't all come from animals). To add to the confusion it says that they are cruelty free. This is a bit misleading specially for people that are not familiar with lashes or only use them on special occasions. I am not on the Peta Patrol, but there's no such thing as a cruelty free mink farm. They live alone in small cages (they are not social animals and will fight with one another otherwise) and are raised to be killed and skinned. Doesn't sound like a cruelty free environment to me.

Lilly Lashes has no ingredients tab. 

3) On the Lilly Lashes website there is a line clarifying that the product used is actual mink, so hopefully it shouldn't be too difficult to add it to Sephora's website?

On the Lilly Lashes website it does have a line clarifying that the material is actual Mink.

I am posting this in case anyone from the community has anything to add.

You don't seem to be aware that "3D Mink" are false lashes and NOT actual mink

Yes, we need Seohora to be more transparent.  This is cruelty. I am also not on the Peta control. There are plenty if other options on the market for false lashes.

Did you know that if you buy mink lashes, you're buying fur? Minks are violently slaughtered and skinned for fur coats and other items—including false eyelashes. 

Google "the dodo," "cruelty free mink lashes" and “sephora mink lashes animal cruelty.”

I have to agree that there is no such thing as cruelty free mink eyelashes. The mink is a wild animal that should not be kept in a cage. You can be sure that they are not treated humanely and I expect that ultimately they are killed for their fur. There are plenty of good quality fake fur eyelashes and anyone who claims to love animals will purchase those instead. Do some research! Find out what happens to these poor creatures!
