Grande Lash MD serum

I've always had very short lashes to the point of my family loving to tease me about my puny thin lashes. Frustrated, I had them professionally lifted and tinted but the results lasted about two weeks. Huge waste of $140.

I discovered Grande Cosmetics GrandeLASH - MD Lash Enhancing Serum .067 oz / 2 mL  and the results were phenomenal! I had strangers coming up to me to marvel about them. At their longest, they would reach my brows.

Anyway, after about a year, I developed a stye. It was irritating but went away after about a week. Naturally when it popped up, I stopped the serum and didn't use anything for a couple weeks longer.

After the three week break, I started up again with a new, small trial tube I had in my stock and they thickened and lengthened, again looking incredible.

However, just over a month later another stye in the same eye broke out. Naturally I stopped using all of my eye products again, but it got continually larger and angry despite putting moist heat on it multiple times a day. When my vision started to be impaired and the stye became painful, my physician had me use an antibiotic ointment on it. Sadly, it had no affect on the stye and just made my eye gooey, uncomfortable and even more difficult to see with due to a film from the ointment on my eye. Additionallly and probably most upsetting was losing my lashes where the stye was. I had a small but noticeable bare area and it was upsetting.

Frustrated, I gave up the ointment altogether and just waited it out about ten days or so to see if it would go away on its own with moist heat and ibuprofen. I was about two days from seeing an eye doctor when I finally noticed some improvement. It took a couple more weeks before I looked and felt normal again and my lashes in that area started to grow back. Overall I endured this second stye for close to six weeks.

I had two unopened, sealed packages that I had purchased back in Feb because I loved this product so much and never wanted to run out! Sadly I cannot use it now. I took my order slip to a sephora store in my city and was told I couldn't return or exchange it but to try customer service in case they could make an exception.

I know the date of purchase is well outside the return/exchange policy but I had hoped they might work with me due to the medical issue I encountered. I engaged in a chat just now and was ultimately denied. I offered to share pics of my eye but she didn't acknowledge my offer.

I've been a loyal Sephora customer for many many years, including a number of them a Rouge member. I'm very disappointed I can no longer use this great product but even more so in Sephora. Along with wasting $140 on a failed lash lift, I'm out $130 for the two tubes on top of the price I paid for the large tube I had been using when the first stye broke out.
