Eye Makeup for Glasses

Can we start a thread of glasses makeup? I love my glasses, but wonder about fake lashes, ways to still make eyes pop, best ways to manipulate elegant n everyday, etc.

@KaliKennda I literally just purchased 2 pairs of glasses and a year supply of contacts yesterday at Target Optical! My glasses come in next week and it will take 4-6 weeks for my left eye’s contact to come in since it had to be special ordered. That’s how bad my left eye is. I have the contact for my right eye until that one comes in next week. Lol. I knew my eye was bad...but not that bad! I knew I couldn’t pass the eye exam at the DMV without glasses so it pushed me to get some since I’ll have to renew this year. I’m excited and bummed at the same time! Excited for the frames I picked out...sad that I have to wear shorter lashes. I’ll post an update when my glasses come in! I hope my KoKo Lashes in Misha and Risqué still work. 🤞🏼

 @fieldsofclover This is the style of Aviator I chose. They’ll be clear lenses instead of sunglasses. Lol. The other pair were plain black. I’ll look up the style and post those as well.

@darlyndar. I like those! I have been thinking about ordering a pair of aviator opticals direct from ray ban.

@PrettyPaint I knew I had to have a pair of aviators with optical lenses. I actually brought a pair of my own sunglasses since I wear them all the time but then I saw these. I love how big they were. I actually found a pair of Tom Ford’s I’m OBSESSED with! But I think I need to wait. Lol. If I have to wear glasses, I want a style for every outfit!

@darlyndar yeah, I’m a little nervous about ordering them directly from the ray ban site without trying them on, but I think that’s my only option. I think I know the tom ford glasses you are talking about. That’s what made me excited about aviator opticals in the first place!

I just went yesterday to pick them out @fieldsofclover. From what they told me, even though they’re clear, they’ll still have the rayban etched in the top corner and the RB on the sides. I though that was cool. I’m excited to wear the aviators but nervous about how I’ll look in them. I’ll post pictures when they come in. They said 7-10 business days. ❤️

I've been out of contacts for a good year and thus have been wearing my glasses 24/7. That said, it's never stopped me from doing my eyeshadow the way I want. People can still see your look, glasses on or not (I wear thick frames). As far as lashes go, I stick with the Ardell brand. Occasionally, if I push my glasses all the way up my nose, my lashes will brush the frame. But I mostly just try to buy lashes that aren't crazy long (no glamor lashes, I stick to wispies) and they work just fine. In the end, just wear your shadow how you want and go for lashes with less length and you'll be alright. 😉

I wear glasses most of the time, they are really only needed for driving but since I drive 97% of my day, I dont bother taking them off. I find in photos especially, you can barely tell I have eye make up on unless I pack on dark liner or glitter...but then glitter fall out on glasses + driving...you can see where this is going. If I wear false lases I feel more confident but then sometimes feel like they flutter againt my glasses? Lol @KaliKennda

@GG84 I’ll be a full time glasses and contact wearer starting next week. I’m definitely going to be playing with my makeup a lot when they come in. I got a pair of black, thick rimmed RayBans as well as Aviators but with clear lenses. Let’s see what we can come up with! Lol
