Cakey concealer

Hello everyone! My concealer is always cakey when I apply it and I was wondering what would you suggest me to do to prevent this from happening. Thank you!

- make sure the skin is hydrated before applying concealer; apply your moisturizer or hydrator in advance so that it has time to absorb before you apply it. if it isnt fully absorbed it could mix with the concealer and create patches. use a primer; for the smoothest finish i think that silicone based primers or any primer that fills the pores will create a good canvas to work on (such as the famous benefit porefessional, or my favourite dr. brandt pores no more). use a damp clean sponge to blend it. you can use a brush, but i feel like it is easier to avoid unevenness and streaks with a damp beauty sponge. it needs to be clean; if it has residual dried up product it will make the concealer look cakey. be sure to use tapping motions rather than swiping or dragging. when setting with powder, use the same sponge or a powder puff rather than a brush, and use similar tapping and pressing motions to set it in place. if you swipe or swirl the powder on it will disturb the base. hope these points were helpful 🙂

If you aren’t already, use a damp beauty blender and don’t apply too much concealer! Make sure your under eye is well hydrated!

@misssab It helps to make sure the area under your eye is hydrated. I suggest using  KORA Organics Noni Glow Radiant Eye Oil .34 oz / 10 mL or  Tatcha The Serum Stick Line-Smoothing Treatment & Touch Up Balm 0.28 / 8g

I apply an oil before my concealer KORA Organics Noni Glow Radiant Eye Oil .34 oz / 10 mL let it soak in 5 mins, then apply my concealer. I never get a cakey look.
