I have never used an "expensive" mascara before. The most expensive that I have ever used was like $8 haha! What is the best mascara out there ?! Thanks in advance! 🙂

The $5 Essence Lash Princess is amazing, like someone else says! I also love Urban Decay perversion and Tarte lights camera lashes. The Essence mascara flakes on me if I use it alone. how I do my lashes is I layer two mascaras together. one coat of a base layer (usually whatever mascara sample I'm working through b/c I have a lifetime supply thanks to beauty subscription boxes, haha) and then a couple coats of the Essence, Urban Decay, or whatever favorite I'm using!

I have been using Urban Decay's "Cannonball" mascara for about two years now. If I try another mascara I am honestly disappointed. The wand is nice and simple and does not clump up your eyelashes unless the product is old. My lashes are a medium length, but this mascara makes them reallyyyy long I get a ton of compliments on the length. Also, this is a waterproof mascara and stays on through the toughest of situations. I honestly could go on and on about how much I love this mascara and I hope you do too. Hope this helps!

Benefit Rollerlash is hard to beat if you’re looking for mostly length and curl (not very volumizing). I really liked Smashbox Full Exposure and Lancôme Hypnose Drama, though admittedly I have difficult lashes (straight short sparse) and am still on the HG search train/have never stuck with one for long. . . .

YSL babydoll mascara 🙌 It smells amazing (weird to say, I know). Makes your eyelashes look great and comes off easily.

I'm a mascara junkie - because despite all of the products that I buy, mascara is the only thing that I ALWAYS use.  I have different mascaras for different moods, looks, occasions.  I have different colors, different formulas, and get different results from different wands/brushes.  I have to say, Buxom is the one that I can use in any situation.  It goes on easy, smooth, not clumpy, long, lush, and can go natural or dramatic depending on how many layers you use.  You can layer it with other products once you feel more confident - maybe try the Sephora mascara sampler to try out a few brands/formulas/applicators.  Once you're addicted, you can also start mixing wands with other formulas (huge differences in the silicone vs. fiber vs. other synthetic wands).  Have a great time.

And yes, Dior Show is another must!!!!!  I like that they have more color variations than Buxom (brown is great for a casual/day look - or 'I woke up like this').  Buxom is black or waterproof only.

I agree with earlier post about Dior, but I use Dior Show waterproof and it is great.  Tried others but always come back to this one, because it holds the curl and never flakes.

Essence Lash Princess is a total dupe for the IT Cosmetics Superhero Lash. I love both of those and the L'Oréal Paradise. If I need them to stay transfer-proof for a long time I will layer them with Covergirl Supersizer. I just ordered the new Urban Decay Mascara though. It says it's sex proof?!????
