Which The Ordinary product would be best?

So recently I have been having troubles with dry and tight skin, especially around my eyes. I have tried The Ordinary’s lactic acid 5% + HA with no luck and most recently I tried hyaluronic acid 2% + B5 with also no luck, I found it to pill and leave my skin feeling sticky.

I have looked into some products and am trying to decide between 100% organic cold-pressed rose hip seed oil, 100% plant derived hemi-squalane, and also marine hyaluronics.

Can anyone tell me which product would be best for skin feel dry, irritated and tight or recommend any others?

Thanks!!

Re: Which The Ordinary product would be best?

I've tried the hylauronic acid + B5, and it worked great, the main thing is that youhave to use it on damp skin or mix it with water to activate the hylauronic acid properly, and you have to let prior layers fully absorb so it doesn't pill, the pressed rose hip oil works well but its thick so i like to mix it with their natural moisturizing factors +HA, which all in all is a really great moisturizer in my experience

Re: Which The Ordinary product would be best?

i’ve read some articles too and i think i will be adding an oil to my routine, i have moisturizing factors + HA so i’ll definitely be following with that. thank you 🙂

This!!! Your skin does have to be damp for HA to be effective. I was using it wrong for about a month as well, thinking I wasn’t getting results. I started using a primer spray right before the HA and it definitely makes a difference. I recently got the Elf Hydrating Coconut mist spray (this also has HA in it) and started using this before the Ordinary HA and the combo is perfect!

Re: Which The Ordinary product would be best?

hey there, i’ve been using the ordinary 100% organic cold-pressed rose hip seed oil for the past 3-4 months now and i’ve seen amazing results with it! although i don’t have extremely dry skin (sorta a normal-dry combo if that makes sense) my skin gives off an amazing glow at the end of my routine because of this product. and overall my skin has just seem much more softer and healthier feeling since using this product! although i cant speak for the other products you mentioned, i found this worked well with my skin and never gave me irritation at all.

yea i’ve read different articles about some different products as well and i’m definitely opting towards an oil. thanks!!
