Skin Care Routine

Hi guys!
I need help with my skincare routine. I have a dry skin which makes a hard time to find good hydrating skincare products.

my current routine is Korres Greek yogurt foaming cleanser, Peter Thomas Roth water drench serum, Belif moisturizer eye bomb, and First Aid beauty coconut water cream. It works great for the first two weeks but I could feel my skin become dry and burning after apply the water cream. I still love the other three products but not the water cream.

So, I just purchased a Kiehl's toner and the "3 little wonders" Ole Henriksen, which include a set of vitamin serum, sheer moisturizer, and gel treatment this evening. I'm wondering how I should apply the new products. Should I go with cleanser, toner, water drench serum, vitamin serum, eye moisturizer, sheer moisturizer, and gel treatment?

RE: Skin Care Routine

Hi @TrannTrann. I love the Korres Greek Yoghurt cleanser. I find it to be very hydrating as well. To try and answer your question, maybe try incorporating an essence into your skincare routine? Sephora sells some nice ones and you can find some great ones (especially Korean brands) on Amazon or at Ulta. As far as a moisturizing serum, I love Josie Maran’s Argan milk. It is super hydrating and provides a nice base for your moisturizer. I also use her Argan reserve oil and just started alternating between that and The Ordinary’s rose hip oil for additional moisture. My new favorite moisturizer is The Ordinary’s moisturizer plus HA. It is ridiculously inexpensive and I feel just as high-quality as some of the high-end brands that I have purchased. Hope this helps!

Re: Skin Care Routine

I think that you need more moisture in your routine. If your skin is burning after the water cream, it's likely not hydrated enough. First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream is perfect. You may wish to experiment with other ultra-hydrating serums. Drunk Elephant has some good ones. Also, I don't know how dry your skin is, but you should use the Ole Henriksen products in moderation (excluding the hydrating serum). Many products today are super harsh on dry skin and I have found Ole Henriksen to exemplify this. Perhaps use them only 2-3 times per week.
