Humid weather skin care and make up 40 year old

I live in California and I have dry skin with fine lines and worried about aging since I’m in my early 40s. I’ll be traveling to Thailand and worried about the humidity. In California I use everything cream. Can you recommend the product (lotion, toner, serum, make up products, etc…)  for dry skin in humid weather. Thank you!

@jmy731  Which sunscreen do you use? (You do use sunscreen each day your skin's exposed to sunlight, right?) If it contains at least one good moisturizing ingredient, it might be able to replace your daytime moisturizer in humid weather.

My 2 favorite lightweight yet effective moisturizers are Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer and Paula's Choice CLEAR Oil-Free Moisturizer 2 oz/ 60 mL  . Both contain moisturizing ceramides and the humectant hyaluronic acid. The PC moisturizer also contains niacinamide, sodium PCA (another humectant), and other goodies. My mostly-dry combo skin loves both of these moisturizers, though I tend to use the Vanicream one during the day and the PC one at night (it plays nice with my nightly retinaldehyde cream which contains an oil). In hot weather, I sometimes replace the Vanicream moisturizer with a sunscreen that contains dimethicone, shea butter, or some other moisturizing ingredient. In any other weather, I need a layer of the Vanicream moisturizer under my sunscreen.

What's your current skincare routine (brands + product names)? We might be able to help you find humid weather alternatives for specific products in your routine.

@jmy731   Well, good news, your dry skin is going to love the humidity.  Add a hyaluronic acid serum to your routine and it will attract the humidity in the air and keep you well hydrated.  Whenever we travel anywhere warm and humid I tend to pack lighter serums lotions and skip the heavier moisturizer altogether.  I also tend to stick to bb creams and low to medium coverage foundation in case it ‘melts’.  Tubing mascara is the best to avoid mascara melting issues.
Also, minty lip balms feel especially nice and cooling when you’re in humid weather.
