Good foundation for dry skin?

I'm having a really hard time finding a good foundation for my dry skin, I mean I have a few but they're nothing to brag about.

All the foundations that I own cling to my dry patches and settle in my fine lines.

Any foundation recommendations?

It would also be helpful if you can give me a few setting powders that won't make me look dry and cakey. Please and thank you

xoxo

I like Too Faced's Born This Way for when I have dry skin, but I would set it with a spray like Urban Decay's. I try to stay away from matte formulas and setting powders.

RE: Good foundation for dry skin?

My all time favorite foundation is the Gorgio Armani luminous silk. It is pretty steep in price but totally worth it in my opinion cause it just looks so flawless. Also, for the dry patches, I would apply a really hydrating moisturizer (I love tarte's H2O one) and then a hydrating primer as well (my fav is the too faced hangover). That will not make your face look even the slightest bit dry. Also, the setting powder I swear by is the Laura mercier translucent setting powder, and the trick is to apply it with a beauty blender and only in the areas you rlly need to set (under eyes, cheeks, forehead, etc) basically all the areas you would contour/bronze and highlight and then the under eyes. You don't need too much and using the damp beauty blender really gives it a nice (not matte) finish.

Re: Good foundation for dry skin?

I have dry skin as well and what I have found is that it's not just about the foundation that makes the look -it's everything else too.

-Are you using a hydrating primer underneath?

-What method do you use to apply your foundation? I find using a beautyblender helps tremendously.

-Are you using a setting spray?
