Dry Skin - What are best lip colors/liners/underneath for when wearing?

Dry skin friends - I've come up with my fave face and eye products, but I still ridiculously struggle with my lips.  I'll use the Laneige lip mask, moisturizing balms during the day, even my don't-know-what-I'd-do-without Dr. Dan's hydrocortisone lip balm... but this is just to MAINTAIN my makeup-free lips on a daily basis.

I want to have fun with color sometimes (especially as lip color can make you look more professional, which someone in their mid-30s who is usually mistaken for a teenager could definitely use in their arsenal!)  But every time I try a lip color I just seem to regret it when my lips become a flaky, burning, uphill battle to fix mess.

So... I'll take any recommendations you have for "moisturizing" lip color products that actually moisturize, lip liners that don't dry out my lips nor make the surrounding skin burn, or protectant layers underneath the color which don't interfere with the appearance of the product itself.  Besos!

Do you exfoliate your lips at least once a week?  If not, I would suggest Fresh lip scrub.  For lipbalm that hydrates I like MAC lip conditioner, Tatcha lip balm, Kopari lip balm.  At night I use Laniege lip mask or Kiehls Buttermask lip treatment.

Lipliner-the only one I use is Charlotte Tilbury in Iconic Nude because it goes with everything.

@mischa77Ditto on the exfoliating. It is a huge help and you will definitely feel a difference.  

Ditto on the lip liner too, but by favorite color is Pillow Talk. I love iconic nude, but with my skin and natural lip color, pillow talk is my everyday go-to (I have 3 in use lol!).

Thanks!  I had already looked up the CT liner and came to conclusion Pillow Talk would probably be more of a match for me personally, but I'm thrilled to hear it is just as versatile!  Moving up my wish list to order when it becomes available again in next few days. 😊

Thank you so much for all the product recs!  I haven't tried most, so I have some shopping/sampling to do. 

Also, you're definitely right on... I'm missing exfoliation from my care routine.  I think probably because exfoliation seems counter intuitive... why would I apply something harsh to my sensitive lips?... but I'm probably only blocking the skin I need to penetrate.  Once a week is definitely manageable.  Thanks for the help!
