Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely have to try this. I like the idea of having a fragrance free dry shampoo. Are there any you’ve tried that do leave a white residue that I should stay away from?

@Unapologeticall I totally go through 3-4 shades a year and some years not as much. I’ve changed it least 4 times this year. Sometimes my trick instead of doing a full foundation of I don’t have a perfect match is to use concealer and just spot conceal and blend it out to give my face the look that I’ve done the whole thing but I don’t. I also like to mix foundation shades and types to give my face the look I want. I like to add a little matte foundations to a more glowy foundation to tone it down a little. Right now my go to foundations are Sephora Collection Clean Glowing foundation rms beauty "Un" Cover-up Concealer 0 I don’t use shade 0 but I use this as my spot and under eye. It’s thick so it provides great coverage but it also shears out so I’m able to use it to make my face appear to be fully covered.

Hi @1belinda! You can use the code Freeship when you check out, no minimum.Normally, you would have to spend a minimum of $50 to get free shipping, but Sephora made it free during the pandemic. If you reach Rouge status (spend $1,000 a year), you will get free 2 day shipping.

I’m a huge fan of EltaMD broad spectrum UV clear SPF46 which you can buy on amazon, Dermstore, or the brand’s website. I love that sunscreen specifically for my darker complexion because it doesn’t leave a white cast, it contains niacinamide which helps lighten dark spots/hyperpigmentation, and it also has lactic acid to improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It also contains no fragrance so it won’t be irritating if you have sensitive skin. I’m a beauty blogger and I recently wrote a post on the 7 mineral sunscreens I’ve personally tested that won’t leave a white cast (which some you can purchase at Sephora), but as much as I love Sephora, EltaMD is still my holy grail lol. I’ll link my post below if you want to check it out, but don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions on my recommendations! https://www.southasianskin.com/blog/mineral-sunscreens-that-wont-give-you-a-white-cast

Its usually a little easier to figure out your surface tone (fair, medium, tan, deep, etc.), but choosing the correct undertone (cool, warm, neutral, olive) can truly make or break the foundation shade you choose. Most of us with darker skin fall on the warmer side, but that’s not always the case as Lupita Nyong’o actually has cool undertones (she has more of a pinkish/red hue to her skin). There’s a couple different “tests” you can perform to figure out your undertone. I actually wrote a blog post about these tests which I’ll link below and hopefully it helps. Once you have somewhat of an idea of the surface tone and undertone you have, I’d go to fenty’s foundation line and see if you can identify what foundation color would suit you since there are so many options to choose from. They are also very clearly labeled (deep tan with yellow undertones, medium tan with golden undertones, etc.) I know Fenty foundation can be a little on the matte side so if you have dry skin and want to try another brand, Sephora has a “find my shade” option for every foundation brand where you indicate what foundation shade you are in a different brand, and it will then tell you what shade would be the best match for the current brand you are interested in. Hopefully that makes sense! Let me know if you still need help. 😊 https://www.southasianskin.com/blog/what-is-my-undertone

@SODASH and @Kameese I was just peeking through a giant list of BoB brands (via Allure) and saw Hyper Skin and BeautyStat Cosmetics. Hyper only has a general vit C serum, but BeautyStat specifically has an eye serum. It runs a little $$ IMO ($50) but on the page they posted a discount code (GMA) for 25% off.
