return policy no receipt

I got an eyeshadow palette for Christmas and didn’t like it. I want toreturn it but don’t have a gift receipt, how do I go about returning it?

You may return items within 60 days of purchase. With a receipt, you can receive a refund. Without a receipt, you can receive store credit or do an exchange. Returns are ultimately up to the store's discretion. For more information, please check out this link:

Is this still true? I got the hourglass vanish stick as a gift 2 weeks ago and it's way too yellow and they did not get a receipt and I just want to exchange it for the right color

Hi @alysin,

 

You do have to show proof of purchase when returning or exchanging an item in store. If you or the person who gifted the item used a Beauty Insider account at the time of purchase, you can show that to a Beauty Advisor in store. I hope that this helps.

If the purchaser did not use a beauty insider account and does not have a receipt, can she still return the product for store credit? (Given that the product is unopened or not used)

If the purchaser has the debit/credit card that was used on the transaction, the store should be able to pull up the transaction in their system and process a return or exchange. For more info, I suggest contacting your local Sephora store directly 🙂
