"Credit Card Payment" added to total price when using a gift card online

I'm trying to place an order online using a gift card. However, every time I apply the gift card to payment, I get a "credit card payment" added to my total. Which is more than my gift card (basically it cancels out my gift card). The total has not gone down, and I'm confused because I want to use the gift card to take money off but that is not happening. Hoping someone can help me with this.

Apologies for any misunderstanding! The order total will not change, regardless of the payment methods used. The order total simply represents the total price of all the products. The "credit card payment" represents the amount that will be covered by your credit card, and the "gift card" represents the amount that will be covered by your gift card. These both go towards the order total.
