defective product

Hi! I recently purchased the limited edition Summer Fridays Birthday Cake Lip Butter Balm. I had only used it once when it exploded from the end seam all over my bag. I have purchased many of these and I am a loyal customer and this has never happened. I had to throw it away. I will attach pictures, but I am really sad this happened and was wondering if there was anything to be done about it. Thank you.
