Website Will Not Accept CVV at Checkout

This has happened to me multiple times on both the Sephora app and the website. I will try and check out using my debit card and I will get an error saying that the payment can't be processed. Every time, I'm prompted to re-enter my CVV/CVC and I do, save it, and the same occurs. It even occurs when I totally remove the payment option and re-enter all of my debit card information. It's extremely frustrating and while I'm sure a lot is going on because of the holidays, I want to note it because it's prevented me from buying multiple gifts for people through Sephora entirely.
