Was the bag supposed to be empty?

So I made a Givenchy Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Matte Foundation 

Purchase for the first time this weekend, only because I was needing a concealer and there was a gift with a purchase. I have to say it was worth the change over all, but I think we may have gone a bit too dark so it's only going to be worth it in the summer

I was just curious as a side note, was the gift bag this weekend meant to be empty? I was hoping it had samples of others stuff since I wanted to try a perfume, and they didn't have one available in store.

I know it's kind of dumb, but I was really just curious. The closest Sephora to me is 4 hours away so it isn't like I can return it or anything, but have been debating on if it's worth to make the trip for a shade or two lighter for the winter since I don't want to splurge on a full size until I know if I like it or if my body rejects the scent.

I'm sorry I'm not sure which gift bag you are referring to! As you received the gift bag in store, I recommend contacting the Sephora store directly to check if samples were suppose to be included with it! Thanks!
