Was not allowed to exchange

Was not able to exchange my sephora mattee powder foundation which I had bought during sephora 30% off sale. I went to the store to return for a different shade and they said they cannot do it since it wasn't available at the store (which makes sense), but then I was told I couldnt return it online either since it was available online....so basically I lost the discount and if I wanted to buy a new shade I would have to pay the difference

Yeah that doesn't makes sense that the discount isn't applicable on the exchanged product. There was no way for me to do a shade match and all I wanted was to exchange for a different color and seems like this product isn't available at the store but it's available online and I couldnt even exchange it then. If I was returning the product and buying it, then it would make sense for the discount to be not applicable but for the exchange it should have been. That will now make me not want to buy anything online during the sale since I wont be able to exchange it for the same price later on.

Order # #66534695904. Order return location Calgary, returned on Oct 12. They said they didn't had the item, they only have a new ones so I wasn't able to exchange for the same price.

Thank you for confirming you were able to return the item in store! Regretfully, our promotions are only valid during the promotional period. So if the item is attempted to be exchanged outside of the promotional period, the discount would not apply and the difference would have to be paid. I'm so sorry about that!
