VIB status before the NYear

Good night everyone.I asked a question about gaining a vib status previously in the insider group, but I still have questions on it.. Someone explained me, that whatever I've purchased before Jan 1 2018 will give me reward points that will stay on my account after the new year, but If I will not gain he VIB status before that time ( for example I'll purchase for 200$, not 350), it will not count toward my VIB status in 2018, so I would have to repurchase for 350$ again starting from 2018. I am in kinda tricky situation since I registered less than 2 weeks ago and holidays are coming, so I really want to make purchases that will count toward my VIB, but I am totally not sure If I will be able to but for 350$ before Jan 1. What if I will make purchases for 350 and then return some products? Will I still have the VIB? Thank you Olga

From Sephora FAQs, "If you have qualified for VIB Rouge, returning merchandise will NOT affect your current year’s VIB Rouge status. However, annual requalification is required."

Do you know if that works the same way for VIB? Or only for Rogue?

I believe you will remain VIB and that only your points for the returned products will be deducted @1Morra1. But, you may want to call Sephora to confirm.
