VIB Rouge Renewal gift 2021?

Isn't There a renewal gift for VIB Rouge. Last year we got 750 reward points.

I'm just noticing the disappearance of the flash shipping option. I think I overlooked it and assumed some things were taking longer due to the pandemic. Some things still made the 2 day turnaround. Anywho, this will most likely be my last year for rouge status as well. As many already pointed out, and like I advised the customer service phone rep, what's the point of rouge status besides committing to spending additional money with Sephora. Even the 20% spring going on now... the next tier gets 15%, the 5% is negligible. Now without the 2-day shipping, the points instead of a birthday gift (which has not been very great lately), the stores always being out of the rewards products that I actually want, yeah, there's no point. As always, the customer service agent "understood" my concerns and committed to providing my feedback to whomever, but considering this issue has been complained about (I pulled up multiple posts by googling) I doubt anything is going to happen until rouge status members decline significantly.

I also just noticed that the Flash shipping is no longer part of Rouge benefits. The perks that Sephora is offering to its Rouge member are becoming less and less attractive, especially with multiple competitors out there having better customer loyalty programs. First, the point accumulation for Rouge is like every other tier, then the Flash shipping is now a cost. You’d think that in the current situation,  where online shopping is more prominent, having free Flash shipping would be a no-brainer for the customers who spend big bucks at Sephora. Whoever works on the customer loyalty program will need to completely re-strategize and re-do the Rouge program.

Like many others, I am late to the party. I just realized yesterday that I no longer have free flash shipping. I have held rouge status for at least 5 or 6 years now and the main reason was the shipping. Sephora may have a few brands that I cannot get at Ulta but their rewards program is SO much better and they offer way more sales. I currently have over $200 accumulated to spend at Ulta on anything I want...Sephora has never given me as much for spending with them. If Rouge is not going to be rewarded with free fast shipping and better point earnings, then there is no reason for me to spend with them. I will shop with individual brand sites and maintain Diamond with Ulta instead. Most of the individual brands offer promo codes and 2-day shipping with ShopRunner anyhow. Is Sephora trying to go out of business?

Late to the party, but I also just realized there isn't a choice to get free Flash this year? I can't find anywhere to activate it, and it appears we have to pay for it just like everyone else?? What is the point of spending money at Sephora anymore, when Ulta offers much better perks and rewards? The only thing that kept me periodically shopping at Sephora was the faster shipping, but now I'll just take my money to Ulta or directly to brand websites, since many of them offer free 2 day shipping through Shoprunner anyway. WTH Sephora.

I am obviously late to the conversation, but I am also disappointed by this. The rewards for being rouge keep becoming less and less attractive. I also feel that if that was the plan, we should have known ahead of time.

They cancelled in-store makeovers and now the renewal gift... What is the point of maintaining the Rouge status? 

So lame, Sephora.  You're gonna lose business.

Honestly I'm super disappointed to hear this. For years, sephora's loyalty program has been lauded as one of the best in the retail industry for customer retention. It certainly kept me spending money here for the better part of a decade. Unfortunately here in Canada with competitors like shoppers Beauty boutique, and the upcoming expansion of Ulta online into Canada, consumers like me who have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Sephora over the years will simply shop elsewhere. 

I have zero incentive now to even maintain Rouge status what a colossal error they're making.

I completely agree.  I'm in Canada so I don't have access to an Ulta and the Shoppers Drug Mart here does not carry the brands I like... It's a shame Sephora keeps changing their rewards program because now I don't see a point in trying to hit Rouge.

Exactly. Even during pandemic we still supported Sephora and they gave nothing back. And I’ve also saw people posted that Sephora automatically renewed their Rouge status when they didn’t even spend 1000 dollars in 2020, which is so unfair for the people who did buy that much to keep their status.

VIB Rouge for about 4 or 5 years now and it is a waste going forward. Placing one last order...but, I found ecosmetics and they are offering me 20% off every few weeks. Since I buy a lot of Givenchy this is a nice savings. Yeah the shipping takes forever, but I will live that. The only reason I remained Rouge instead of ordering from each make up company individually or searching out new makeup "clearinghouse" stores was the free 2 day shipping.

I also am wondering because I was extended my renewal for rouge again but I got not notification of a gift. Which I feel like we should still get it. I mean after all we are spending 1,000 or more a year for the status. It would be messed up if all of a sudden they just stopped giving us the renewal gift

It's not just the renewal gift that stopped. It's also the fact that we only get 1 point per dollar spent, just like VIB and regular beauty insiders, which really adds up in terms of lack of points accumulation when you spend a few thousand a year. I expect my 2021 spending at Sephora to drop significantly because Rouge status is negligible.
