Unused gift card with $0 balance

I am noticing this is a common issue, but I was wondering if anyone has had luck with resolving their gift card issues.  Gift cards were purchased from a CVS and the receipt states that they were activated.  However, the gift cards are coming up as $0 balance on the Sephora site.  Has anyone gotten their gift cards working after speaking to customer service?

A similar situation happened to me. I received an egift card that was purchased directly on Sephora website. I tried using it online and on the app, but it would not work. I contacted Sephora customer service and talked to 4 different customer service representatives and was told there was nothing I could do! And, yes, one hung up on me despite being very kind. I was told it was cashed out to Cashstar after being purchased and they do not replace cards for any reason. Mine was for $75, had been in my apple wallet since I received it, and I know it's never been used.  It's completely unacceptable! 

 

I have viewed many similar complaints and have never read that anyone got it resolved. FTC? BBB?

The same thing happened to me, $80 gone. 2 customer service agents said there’s nothing they can do.

 

If a billion dollar company rather pocket my $80 then do right by a loyal customer, I’ll no longer be buying any of my products from Sephora.

I am having the exact same issue and customer support is no help. I have also tried to PM those that are responding to posts and seems like that gets me no where either. 

This has to be the worst customer service experience for something that is not our fault that I have ever experienced.
