Trying on Product limit!?

I am so gravely disappointed, disgusted, and appalled. I just encountered a horrible experience! I popped into Sephora today, Friday 9/14 at approximately 2pm, the one located in JcPenny's inside Manhattan Mall, in the Herald Square area, during my lunch hour. The best thing about Sephora and what separates them from their competitors is the ability to try on multiple products without any hassle or pressure to purchase. In my 30 min visit...I was greeted by 5 sales associates and asked if I needed help. This store is not that busy or big to have that many sales associates! Then I was trying on the living proof defrizz spray. I must’ve sprayed it at least 3 times. I have a lot of thick, frizzy, curly hair. At this point, a sales associate approaches me. She was a white female, thin framed, probably around 5’5, blonde mid length wavy hair. I didn’t get her name. She states the items are for trying a little only. I said that’s what I’m doing. Trying it on. She said well you have sprayed more than once and the testers are for trying one spray. I was shocked. I responded back with I haven’t even used that much and there’s still plenty in the bottle. I couldn’t believe it. Mind you, I’m a VIB member and have been shopping there for easily over 10 years. I've must've spent thousands and thousands of dollars. So if I want to spray 3 or even a 100 times, I will. Before I spend my hard earned money... I want to ensure what I’m buying is worth it. Hence why I loved Sephora. If I want that kind of experience of constantly being harassed and forced to buy...I would shop at department stores. It seems like this store needs major overhaul and training. I will not be shopping there ever again. The sales associate should be reprimanded for her customer service. I cant help but think she targeted me because I am not white like her. I feel so violated.

RE: Trying on Product limit!?

No wonder why Sephora is changing policies all the time. Hope you reconsider your actions because you are perfect example of abusing benefits. VIB doesn’t give you the right to be rude to SAs or make you entitled to do whatever you want. Please don’t forget that they are only doing their jobs and most importantly THEY ARE HUMAN. Be nice and respect the rules.. have a good day.

Re: RE: Trying on Product limit!?

First, follow your own advise. You weren't there so how can you so assuredly state I was abusing the products.  Know your facts before you start making such accusatory remarks. Secondly, I've been shopping at Sephora for over 10 years, never encountered such rude discriminatory behavior. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars there. I am also human and a native NYer. I know when I am the one being mistreated. I dont want anyone else to experience such discrimination for doing nothing wrong. Hence why I am speaking up about it. .
