There was an error committing the order.

I tried placing an order on Friday and got the message "There was an error committing the order." when I tried to finalize the order. I paid with my paypal debit card and now there is an authorization hold on the money in my account. I tried both emailing and calling but the wait on the phone is endless hours and I never received an email back. Another issue is that I used two giftcards on the order and they are coming up as zero now when I check them. So it's not like I can place the order again due to my funds being placed on hold and the giftcards now showing up as 0.00. I checked my order history and it definitely did not go through. I also tried placing a small sephora order (which went through with no issues) to see if maybe that would make the paypal authorization disappear but that also didn't work. I also tried contacting paypal and they have not responded but I believe Sephora has to drop the pending authorization on there side. I have exhausted all outlets trying to get help with this. I believe now that I got the error because I had the ABH liquid lipstick in Sad Girl in my cart and it appears to not exist on the website at all now, but of course I could be wrong.
