Stolen E-Gift Card

I received a $50 e-gift card from a friend for my birthday. I added it to my apple wallet, but today the balance randomly went down to $12.44 without me using it. I don't know what happened, as I've never shared this number with anyone. Can someone please help me get my funds back?

The similar thing happened to me. I talked to 4 different customer service representatives and was told there was nothing i could do! It was cashed out to Cashstar after purchased and they do not replace cards for any reason. Mine was for $75 and had been in my apple wallet since I received it and I know it's never been used.  It's completely unacceptable!
