Sephora shipping time absolutely sucks

I’m extremely disappointed with Sephora’s shipping times. I placed a very expensive  order on Monday with “3 day shipping” and it’s not set to arrive until NEXT MONDAY. This is the 21st century, if a company wants to compete in online retail they need to ship faster. I’m seriously reconsidering remaining loyal to Sephora. If I had bought my items elsewhere, I would have had them by now.

Seriously, why is Sephora struggling with its shipping? It's slow and the tracking information is inaccurate. Either that or my package has been 'out for delivery' 6 times in the last couple of days. So frustrating! It's hard to order from Sephora because the shipping is so unreliable. Why don't you change your shipping vendor?

Same here! I placed an order over $50 dollars for "3 days" shipping on the 15 and it hasn't even been processed yet TWO WEEKS LATER! I understand some delays due to covid but this is just excessive and inexcusable for so many people to be having such a terrible experience. At the least they could send me an email updating me so that I don't think my order is lost or something.

I placed an order on May 5th and I haven’t received a tracking numberFor it or any type of update, and I used quadpay to pay for it and quadpay messaged me that my whole order was refunded but I didn’t receive any notification  from Sephora, and in my orders it still says processing. I’d still like my order to be shipped to me.

Sorry for the confusion! You may be seeing that pre-authorizations have dropped from your form of payment, looking like you received a refund from Sephora - This is not a refund, and you will still be charged once your order ships. I'll take a further look then send you a PM.

Placed an order on the 5th and it’s not processed or shipped yet and customer service has yet to get back to me to change the shipping address. Today is the 18th. I’m about to cancel the whole order, I’ve been more than patient.

Usually, it is very fast, but due to COVID-19, they are taking safety mesures for their employees and that's why

I can't believe that it's so slow! I was really looking forward to getting involved with Sephora for my beauty needs but this being my first experience with them I'm super disappointed and wish I had went with Ulta. I spent a ton on four purchases, my first dating back to April 18th and still no notifications or anything and the app says it hasn't even been shipped. What the heck Sephora?? I really want to like the Sephora name but am just supremely regretful for sticking with them for all four purchases.

With extended store closures, and our Spring Savings promotion, we are processing a high volume of orders that is unfortunately resulting in long order processing delays.  The safety of our distribution center employees and our clients is our top priority, which means that responsible workforce safety precautions result in fewer people than usual processing orders at one time. If you placed an order, it will be shipped out and you will hear back from us with any updates when available.

Agree! Most companies are using Covid as an excuse, what did they do before this? Got orders out on time. I placed an order on the 18th and it still hasn’t been processed or shipped. WOW! Their online service should have little defect from Covid.  I spend a lot of $$$$ here!!

Not that I'm happy that there's someone else in the same boat as me, but I was starting to think they forgot about me. Placed an order on April 24, and it has yet to be shipped. The 18th for you is insane and unacceptable.

If you can't get a few items put into a box within two weeks, don't offer online ordering. We're all understanding with the Covid-19 situation, but that should really only buy you a couple days of patience, not a couple weeks of it. 

 

I hate to be "that person" complaining, but I could have ordered this exact same stuff on Amazon and had it within 4 days.

Similar story here. Placed an order on 21st and still hasn't shipped. The delivery promise is by may 6th... don't think that's gonna happen.

 

Sadly, even before covid I had a terrible experience. I got a notification that my order shipped and waited and waited. Turns out that an item was sold out in my basket and the order was never shipped. But no one reached out to me until I emailed them. Sigh. I really wanted to support them but I get so disappointed with the lack of communication.

Im dealing with the same issue. I ordered a facial moisturizer on the 27th and the expected delivery date is May 13th. Im at the end of my current supply and its not like I can go to the store physically and restock. I understand the pandemic. But if im receiving products in a semi timely manner from other companies, Im not sure why im waiting over two weeks for a small package. At this point I feel like its an excuse. This is the last time im going to shop online with Sephora. My options are typically plentiful in NYC.

You can view the expected delivery date and track your order on Sephora.com and in the Sephora app.  Please allow a few additional days from the posted delivery date to allow for processing and carrier delays.  You will receive an email if the delivery date is updated, as well as email confirmation once your order ships. Could not agree more! I've been Rouge for years and recently it's been taking a full week to receive shipments. Seriously considering switching to ULTA at this point.

My spending with Sephora has taken a very steep downturn this year in large part due to the shipping times. Orders last year came in two business days, now it is a good week, and so I find myself just no longer inclined to shop. All the urgency has gone. Spur of the moment, impulse buys, they dont happen because waiting a week for it to arrives just dampens any excitement. I have a cart full of stuff but Im just not tempted enough to checkout.

It was Sephoras perks and fast shipping that pushed me to buy the vast majority of my beauty items from them but now Im buying direct from the company (better perks) or from Amazon (faster shipping, very often same-day, and much cheaper generally).

Exactly! I used to be so impressed with Sephora’s shipping often coming in 2 days, and now even their self-stated “3 day” shipping takes a week or more. If I’m spending almost $500 in one single order, I expect the order to ship quickly, or AT LEAST during the promised time period. Countless other retailers would have had my order already to me by now. I’m very disappointed.
