Sephora sent me 20% off code but it's not working

So I got a 20% off code in the mail but when I applied it for my order, it says that "Offer available to select BI members.". Why did Sephora send me this code and then tells me that it's not working? I've been waiting for today, March 11th to use it as it says on the coupon but now I found out that I can not use this. This sucks.
