Sephora's Wasteful Packaging

The huge box that was just for 2 brushes!

I'm kinda disappointed in the package I received yesterday. I got both of my items that I ordered just 2 brushes, didn't receive my samples, and both of my items came in a box that could probably hold over 100 brushes!!! It's unfortunate that Sephora would be so wasteful and use such an oversize box for just 2 brushes that could have possibility been damaged! I prefer to go to the Sephora store but most of the items I order are not sold in the store. I really hope that Sephora will re-evaluate their packaging situation, since there are plenty of smaller packaging options out there that they can put smaller items into!

You are right!  What is MUCH MIRE SHAMEFUL is all of the perfectly good makeup/products Sephora throws in the trash in a daily basis.  Forget unopened returns.  “Mark out of stock destroy” has employees trash BINS of perfectly good products that aren’t expired or returns.  These are products that can be sold, donated to homeless, poor teens for prom, dress for success, etc.  it’s ironic that a company who is carrying more and more eco friendly lines is so wasteful behind the scenes.  I’m getting the word out.  I’ve spent tens THOUSANDS at Sephora over time but if they don’t change I’m done.

Agreed, I'm definitely never ordering from Sephora again until they change their excess packaging. Apparently people have been commenting this for years and nothing has changed. A perfectly already boxed tiny item needs to be put in a giant cardboard box filled with paper?? It's extremely ridiculous and the worst I've seen of any online products I order.

Yes please! It’s going to become increasingly important to shoppers that companies be less wasteful and I hope Sephora considers showing at least some attempt at reducing waste.
