Sephora gift cards, the worse online experience ever!!

Hi All, 

 

I've been trying to buy my wife a $100 gift card for over a week now. Each attempted purchase has been declined with the following vague email. 

 

"We're sorry. We were unable to process your eGift Card order from Sephora Canada."

 

I contacted Sephora and they couldn't care a less, they simply suggested opening a ticket with the gift card vendor. When I pointed out that they should take responsibility for their site, they ended the call!!

 

I have opened multiple tickets with cashstar.com, the company that Sephora uses to manage their gift cards. with no resolution in site. 

 

Eventually I was able to purchase $75 worth of gift cards in smaller amounts, $25 & $50. But if I tried to purchase gift cards totaling $100. Again the purchases would be declined. 

 

At the same time using the same method of payment I've purchased hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from other online retails without issue. 

 

If my wife had not requested a gift card from Sephora for Christmas I would have bailed out after the first returned purchase. 

 

Don't make the same mistake I've done. There are lots of alternatives to Sephora that I'm sure will value your business a 100 times more.

I am so sorry to hear about this! All eGift Card purchases are made through our third party, CashStar, and I apologize we, www.sephora.com, do not have access or insight into their system. If you need further assistance, I may suggest reaching out to CashStar once more. I understand this may be frustrating and I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
