Sephora credit card needs correction

This is a warning to those that are thinking about getting the Sephora credit card for the 25% off. Sephora states that you will be given a temporary card to complete the purchase but this is NOT TRUE. Read other reviews. Every other person is having the same issue. You will NOT be able to use the temporary card and you will have to wait until your physical card comes in the mail until you can get your 25% off. I am seeing others are receiving the physical card AFTER the 25% off expires and need to contact customer service for further support. 

 

Sephora, you need to fix this. Either take that information off saying you can use the temporary card for the same day purchase or fix the glitch. 

Sephora, I hope you fix this ASAP.

Just FYI, to anyone that sees this...I called customer service. I went to the Visa Sephora line and they couldn't do anything, so I was transferred to "online services". The person I spoke to was absolutely awesome. They were able to place my order over the phone using my temporary card and with the 25% discount! (make sure you have everything you want in the cart and they can just pull it up on your account.) Thank you!!!

But Sephora, PLEASE, make it clear to card applicants that the temporary card will not be able to be used the same day because they do not provide the CVV number needed to make the purchase online. You will most likely need to wait 14 days to make your purchase when your physical card comes in if you want to purchase online.

@amanda814 I'm so sorry to hear about this and thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the Sephora temporary credit card and 25% discount. In some cases when the temporary credit card isn't working, clients will need to wait for the physical card to arrive in the mail. However, we'll still honor the 25% discount when it arrives. I understand it may be frustrating to wait for the physical card to arrive from Comenity Capital Bank and I will share your feedback directly with them.
