Sephora Credit Card Issues

I do NOT recommend the Sephora Credit Card. I signed up for it, was approved, waited the time to receive it, activated it, and have already closed it without even being able to make even one purchase or receive my introductory offer. Do not waste your time like I did. Apparently Comenity has been having issues for weeks now where you cannot even use your card even after activation. This means you cannot use your 25% or get your extra points. This puts you on hold when making purchases you need. There is nothing Sephora or Comenity can do to help supposedly until the update is fixed (no telling when that will be… it has literally been weeks). Seriously, waste of time. I chatted with both Sephora and Comenity representatives with no useful outcome… Just wait. Makes me upset it messes with my credit with the opening and closing. Just wanted to share to save others from the headache. I feel like Sephora shouldn’t advertise the credit card until Comenity fixes their system.

I got my card back in April or May and was able to use my 25%.  However, the $30 reward that I received plus an additional $10 to use in store conveniently expired during a system outage. It's like being on a hamster wheel trying to get my rewards $$$s returned to me despite the website saying they are working on it (for 2 months). Sephora blames Comenity, Comenity says it will be fixed soon or either it's Visa's fault or call Sephora customer service. Ultimately it's Sephora's fault for using Comenity/Bread Financial, but they will not take any responsibility at all. The card is out of my purse and won't be used until I get my $45 rewards back. Their in-store rewards was the only reason I signed up for this card. What a joke!

I am so sorry to hear this is happening to you too and it’s been so long! I canceled my card and refuse to shop here now for myself. I feel like the customer service in this situation was not satisfactory. Complete waste of time. Hopefully your issue can be resolved. It’s frustrating that they aren’t willing to make things right for loyal customers. I am still annoyed that I had a soft credit hit for opening this card and it was absolutely pointless.
