THE SEPHORA CREDIT CARD IS A SCAM
I have been a Sephora customer for several years. Last year, I was shopping at a retailer and the cashier offered and asked if interested in the Sephora Credit Card. Being a regular shopper, I applied in person, was approved, and had the discount applied to my in person order.
It is nearly 1 year later and I have never received the card or account number/information, was sent mysterious checks in the mail from Comenity (later to discover this is the bank Sephora has their credit card services through), and then as of last week was hit with a huge bill showing several late fees on a card I not only do not have, but have no information about.
I have contacted customer service several times and it is clear this bank is a fraud. My credit score spiked down this month assumably to this statement I just received in the mail.
It’s clear from other posts and online that I am not the only individually experiencing massive issues with this fraud. And Sephora showing no resolve.
SEPHORA ITS ON YOU, HOW DO YOU RESOLVE THIS?
Same thing is happening to me and when I call the service line they will do nothing to help. When I asked to cancel it they said they would not do it. They would only reverse 1of 2 late fees when my balance was zero, only if I kept the card open for another 1.5 years. Horrible.
I highly recommend NOT using the card and just closing out the account.
I just paid off my entire balance then got hit with a $170 charge for "fees and interest." just for having paid off my card? I work in finance so them charging a fee of $170 on interest that was (from the previous, paid off balance) after quoting me the exact pay off amount for the day I paid it off is just wrong. Tried explaining this to India to no avail. Like I have an extra $170 burning a hole in my pocket? I called customer service but they're in India, no help. Its like talking to a whiny non-English-speaking bot with canned responses.
If you got this card for the rewards program, CLOSE IT OUT. Just skip it. Trust me on this one. Deactivate the account and shred the card. I plan on telling my 30 mil viewers on platforms about how bad this card really is.
I wish I would have come across your review before applying. My application hasn't been approved yet so I called the customer center (Sephora and Comenity) asking it to be cancelled. No one was able to help - I have been transferred from services to services and I came across the rudest people... I read that it is in my rights to cancel a credit card application when the credit inquiry has happened yet - but it looks impossible now...
WHY WOULD SEPHORA VISA CONTINUOUSLY CHARGE ME $2.00?? FOR WHAT? I HAD A ONE TIME PURCHASE ON THIS CARD. I PAID IT ON THE DUE DATE AND STILL WAS CHANGED A LATE FEE. I PAY THAT AND NOW YOU ARE CHARGING ME $2.00.
I WANT TO CANCEL THIS CARD ASAP. RIDICULOUS.
I have had the same issue. Signed up in October and never received card or bills only to call 2 months later about late fees. This company/bank just signs you up to loot all the possible money from late fees.
I want my late fee refunded.

Same issue here. I cannot log into my account with the account number, and they refuse to provide me with statements. I receive mysterious charges without knowing what happened.

Exactly! It happened to me too. Can we submit dispute? Or is there anything we can do on this? I called customer service (10x), sent secure message. So far has no result. It’s so frustrating.
Please me too! This happened to me as well, I got hit with 110 with no purchase. I am trying to shut down my account, I changed cards this is horrible the worst part is my credit score.

I have faced a similar issue. I signed up for the card in person, and was approved in person.
The card was never delivered to me, and I kept getting strange calls for debt collection and payments- asking for my bank account details.
My credit score dropped about 46 points as well. I paid off all debt via postal mail. And a mysterious interest charge of 2.20$ showed up today. I keep calling the Bank to issue me a replacement card, and all requests are denied without any reason.
How do you deal with this scam?
SEPHORA hasn't been helpful either, as they ask you to connect with customer service. And Customer service has no response.

Hey!! This is shocking and horrible. I keep getting calls from Commenity Bank where they FINALLY left a voicemail and my good credit has been sacked by a SUPPOSED CREDIT CARD that I have with Sephora in which SOMEONE ELSE charged Gift cards for 250.00 4 times . WHICH IS NOT ME.
I have been abused by FRAUD and need this taken care of immediately and my good credit restored.

Also having this exact issue. I can’t find an account number anywhere and I just keep getting hit with late fees and now my credit has plummeted, which has been a nightmare since I’m in the process of trying to purchase a home. Sephora over here ruining our lives with this BS company!
Same thing happening to me on a closed account and I don't even know my account number as I wasn't monitoring. Shame on you Sephora this doesn't look good!! Dropped my credit score 46 points which is CRAZY and is affecting my ability to secure credit. BEWARW OF THIS SCAM
