Rouge Worth It?

I became Rouge last year, after really trying to get there for multiple years prior. However, now that I've made it, and upon reading others issues, and the "rewards" I've seen, but not been able to get, I feel as though there's no reason to be rouge, or even support Sephora. Is this just me? Or is being Rouge not worth it anymore? If you think it still is, please let me know why you feel either way! TIA!!

RE: Rouge Worth It?

I’ve been rouge for years and in November ‘19 I decided no more. I am so very disappointed and frustrated with the program that I’ve not purchased anything this year, and I don’t plan to. For the amount of money I’ve spent the last several years, I expect a halfway decent reward for 4K points, along with the opportunity to actually order them. I feel mislead and lied to for spending money, saving points and then having Sephora whittle the program down to nothing. Ulta and Nordstrom now see a lot more of me. Save your money and shop where you enjoy; you’re not getting anything extra or exciting here.

Re: Rouge Worth It?

I have been Rouge for several years now and this is the first year I've felt like I am not trying to keep my status for next year. The reason being is that they no longer offer the free makeovers which was a BIG reason why I tried to keep my status. Second - they say that Rouge members are able to get full size products and $100 gift cards in the Rewards Bazaar; however, if you are ever lucky enough to get one of those, let me know. Most people will tell you that its nearly impossible to score one. Lastly - there is a nicer birthday gift option for Rouge; however, that option is only available online. So, last time I wanted to redeem that, I had to place an order for something else...so not sure if that is truly worth it or not. In summary - I will no longer be shopping at Sephora unless its a product I can't find anywhere else. Ulta gives you cash back for your purchases; and most companies will give you much better deals shopping on their own web sites. Also - if you shop at dept stores, you are likely to get better gift sets with a purchase....so drop Sephora! :0)
