Received used product

Hi I just received my Sephora order with a mini sized Murad rapid dark spot correcting serum. I opened up the package and the bottle has what looks like foundation all over it and now of course I’m second guessing the product, how do I know it’s what I actually ordered? Or did someone replace/tamper with it?If I’m buying this new at $40 I would appreciate a product that’s brand new. Don’t you guys make enough money? You shouldn’t have to regift.
