Received Product Broken as Gift (Faulty)

I have received a Boy Smells Woodphoria Eau de Parfum Travel Spray .34 oz / 10 mL eau de parfum spray  from a friend, and when I opened it, the entire thing was empty and the circular part of the bottom was cleanly fallen off, as shown in the picture. I am unable to ask for the gift receipt due to some issues, so is there any other way to resolve this faulty product issue?
