Received 20% OFF “Beauty Insider Exclusive” Promo in Canadian App — Shows “US Only” Error (Misleading Display)

Hi! I’m a Canadian Sephora customer, and while logged into my Sephora Canada app, I received a personalized pop-up promotion that read:

"Beauty INSIDER EXCLUSIVE

20% OFF your purchase
One-time use.

30% OFF all Sephora Collection

Ends Sunday, 12/14.

Use code SAVEGIFTS"

There was no “US only” disclaimer on the pop-up. It appeared directly inside my Canadian account, using the standard Canadian app layout and promotion style. I took a screenshot, which I’ve attached below.

However, when I entered the code, the app displayed an error saying:
“Sorry, this promotion is only available for US.”

After checking around, it seems multiple Canadian customers received this same pop-up.

Because this was displayed inside the Canadian app with no regional restriction mentioned, it comes across as a misleading promotional display — and under Canadian consumer protection standards, promotions must be accurate and cannot omit key limitations such as region exclusivity.

I’m hoping Sephora can help correct this error by honouring the 20% offer by providing an equivalent courtesy code.
