Promo Codes

Twice last week I used the promo code offers that was on the site.  Few hours later I get an email saying that the promo code is no longer available.  I emailed them to see if I can use another promo code offer but was told that once the order has been placed they can not make any changes.

1) why does Sephora let the code go through when the product isn't available

2) If the product is no longer available after the order has been placed, why not do a substitute for something else.

I have had the same thing happen to me! My order cancelled yesterday and I reordered because actually product was still in stock except the promo item was not along with some samples... ughh but now when shipped new promo did not ship either along with one of the samples... this is getting worse. I know before they used to just not send the items which was almost better than cancelling whole order but both completely unacceptable when we spend over 1000 a year with you!!!
