Price Difference Online vs In store

Why are the prices higher online/sephora app vs in-store? For example this product is $49 in store but $52 something online. The refill size is the same, and i noticed this for other products within the store as well. I.e. the ordinary. Why is this a thing?

I’m having similar issues, because I’m comparing products at Sephora and Ulta, and Sephora has them priced sooo much higher, ABH liquid lips 27 at Sephora and 20 at Ulta, isn’t retail price same all platforms? No matter what store is selling it?
