Order cancelled without notification - Holiday Savings Event

I ordered Dyson Airwrap during this Holiday Savings Event. (11/5 ~ 11/15). I signed up for an email notification for it when it gets back in stock since it was out of stock when the event started. On November 11th, I finally got the email so I ordered right away with the 15% off successfully. The order went through and got a confirmation on it, but the shipment was delayed. Then I suddenly got a refund confirmation yesterday, November 23rd.

 

I called the Customer Service to see what was going on and was told that they automatically refunded the money because it is now out of stock. So I asked if I can at least get my 15% back but they told me they can only give me the offer until November 30th, which only gives me 6 days. Then I asked if I can get a code or anything for it but they told me that they cannot give me any code and do the following to get it again. 

 

1) Wait for the product to be in stock again

2) Call customer service when it is back in stock 

3) Explain that I have 15% off for this particular item and the situation to apply 

4) Put an order 

 

Not to mention, the product is now available IN STORE ONLY so I cannot even get an email notification on when it's back in stock again - which makes it nearly impossible for me to get it again, unless I stare and refresh the product page all day. Even when it was available ONLINE when I got it on 11th, it was out of stock again 20 min after I got it. Also, if I get extremely lucky enough to catch it getting IN STOCK in a store near by, I would have to run to the store to get it ASAP because it will not be possible to hold it. 

 

First of all, the system should not have confirmed my order if the product was going to be low in stock.

Second of all, they should have not just cancelled the order if this will eventually be back in stock again and at least ask me what I would like to do with the order. 

Lastly, I shouldn't have to call and explain all this to get 15% off for this particular item just for 6 unpromising days when the event itself was for 10 days.

 

I at least deserve a special discount offer code, or another order put in for me separately through their system. I shouldn't have to go through all this. I was very disappointed about this order and on their suggestion for the solution. 

 

Did anyone get their order cancelled during HOLIDAY SAVINGS EVENT and wasn't able to get a product because of it?
