In Store Samples?

I was in Sephora today and asked for a sample of an eye cream and not only was the lady so rude and acted like I asked her to buy me the Island of Bermuda, but she gave me the smallest amount ever! It won't even cover 1/10 of under one eye! It was like one eyelash amount! I don't understand why Sephora employees act so "put out" when asked to receive a sample before we invest our hard earned money into facial creams, makeup, etc., but it's getting real old. I hate asking for samples now because I am so afraid I'm going to get eyes rolled at me or irritate someone. Annoyyyyinggggg.
