I did everything right..

I bought something with a gift card in-store. I returned it within 60 days, their return policy says that if I return within 60 days with a receipt I get the ORIGINAL form of payment credited back. I returned my item to buy an online item instead. I asked if I could use this method online and the person said it was fine, but instead I got a store credit that can't be used online. Now I'm missing out on deals and find myself very frustrated. I called customer support and they said I read the policy wrong and that it was basically my problem to deal with.

I am very sorry for the confusion caused and misinformation provided. Sephora.com is unable to accept store merchandise cards toward an online purchase. This can only be used to redeem items in a Sephora store. I will share your feedback with our retail division so improvements can be made. I am very sorry!
