How to Have Packages Shipped by UPS and NOT OnTrac (or USPS)

I have had mixed experiences with my Flash 2-Day shipping in recent months, with all my negative experiences being when OnTrac shipped my packages instead of UPS. The last straw was when OnTrac didn't deliver a package (I happened to be home all day that day) and instead lost it. I complained to both OnTrac and Sephora and was able to get my items reshipped free of charge, but I can't be doing that every time OnTrac messes up because then I will end up looking shady to Sephora (since it's the customer who notifies Sephora when a package hasn't been received, not whoever was supposed to deliver it).

Therefore, I was wondering if there was a way to make sure that my packages are delivered by UPS and not OnTrac (or USPS, for that matter). For instance, would I be able to call customer service after I place my orders and get them to make sure that the distribution center ships via UPS and not OnTrac?

And/or, is free Flash standard ground shipping (1-6 business days) done by UPS? I could not find this information anywhere, but if it is, I will start using that instead. I'd rather get my packages later than not get them at all.

I hope to get answers about this asap as I have online purchases to make tonight and tomorrow night. Thanks!
