Horrible Customer Service!

I ordered items from Sephora’s website several weeks ago. I understand this time of year they’re probably getting slammed with orders, but they took over two weeks just to ship it out. I then tried to return one of the items to my local Sephora, which is inside a JC Penney. I’ve returned items purchased online here before over the years, but suddenly I’m told I must go to the nearest free standing Sephora. Well, the reason I order online is because my nearest free standing Sephora is a near 80 mile round trip. The other suggestion I was given was mail it back and wait a month for a refund. I contacted customer service several times and only get generic messages or rude service reps. Furthermore, nowhere in their return policy have I found anything that says Sephora.com returns can not be returned to JC Penney Sephoras any longer. But, now that I know this is the case, and after dealing with rude reps (and seeing so many other people post on here about awful customer service) there are plenty of other places I can shop at to get what I need.
