Gift card issues

I am so upset. I received a Sephora gift card for 50 dollars. Scratched off the back to get gift card number and three digits are rubbed off. I have the whole pink number and there is literally 8 other group numbers on the card but yet I called Sephora and they are SOOOO UNHELPFUL. How can they not figure it out when I have all the other numbers associated with the card.

This has to be a Sephora Scam....same issue happened to my daughter...same exact digits rubbed off and can't use.  I just got off of a chat with Sephora Customer Service and she said since the card was DAMAGED...there was nothing she could do.  This is RIDICULOUS!!!!  The card was rubbed off as instructed.  It is not like there was a hole or excessive rubbing....Definitely losing a customer here....ULTA HERE I COME!!!

I’m having a gift card issue called number on the card they couldn’t help me told me to go in store and I couldn’t even use it in store it wasn’t working 🥲 

My gift card only has 14 degits which is odd every where says 16 @LaurieBT

I am having this exact same problem and it happened on two different cards that I got for the holidays.  it’s really frustrating that the only resolution is going into the store.

Same here...except when I went to the store the associate said "we can't scan it, call customer service, they can help". Don't be surprised if you go in the store and they tell you there's nothing they can do. Such a let down.

Agreed! Except on mine, the swipe strip is also damaged. So there is nothing they can do even if I went into the store. It’s so disappointing.

@kellykel87, I'm sorry to hear this. It looks like your private messages are turned off, and you can adjust your preferences in your Community settings (on the browser only, not the app). If you would like to send me a private message with more information, I'll look into this.
