Gift Card Scam

So I got a Sephora Gift card for my Birthday and went to use it and it said I had no balance on the card, has this happened ti anyone else????????

The same thing happened to me today. I got a $100 gift card as an gift and was so excited to use it. I went to the store today and they told me that it had already been used and the balance is $0. I called Sephora customer service and they told me that they can’t do anything about it. I’m not sure what to do
