Gift Card Fraud - 500 Dollars!

I am so devastated.

 

 All my coworkers pitched in and got me a 500 ( two 250 ) sephora gift cards.  When i went to use it there was zero balance on both.    I called the service number and they said they could see the funds were used online but couldn't tell for who and where items were shipped.

 I explained I hadn't even scratched off the silver security patch so how was that even possible.  They said it sounds like internal fraud from third party seller.

 

 I begged for help as this is SO MUCH MONEY and they transferred me to Sephora who said they cant help.  I even got escalated to a supervisor and after over 30 min on the call they just kept saying they cant do anything and wont refund me even though its a problem they have with their party sellers.  Thy kept saying other gift card are having this problem.  Sephora  REFused  to help or do anything with the account or people that the money was used with and items shipped to.  

 

Please Sephora -do better - this is AWFULL and looks like it has been going on for years according to these posts.  It makes me not want to shop with you anymore.  i have been rouge for years and spend thousands but you said it made no difference.  500 is  A LOT to me and the best gift i have ever received.  And now its just Gone.

 

 

I am been shopping with sephora as rouge for so long I am DEVASTAED at the total lack of care for the customers regarding this.

Thank you for your words but what is Sephora going to do about it?

 

 It's clear from a quick search online and here within your own forum this is an ongoing issue and has been for years but still Sephora has not fixed it.  Millions spent on gratis and advertising but what about protecting your customers from a clear fraud threat that you do nothing to correct.

 

 

Sephora knows what is happening and has not done its due diligence to remedy the issue or protect their customers.  Sephora is still recieving  these funds even if stolen so it's clear it is NOT a priority for them.  Their corporate bottom line continues to raise as customers pay the price.  

 

Sephora has had amble time and knowledge to fix this fraud issue but doesn't care because it's not their money.  It's just their customers.  

 

Sephora you could  have warned us.  Sent a email.  Made a press statement.  Instead you changed the language on the gift card that no class action  suit can be raised.  Is that because  you kNEW thousands of your customers were being stolen from buying a product with your NAME on it to use at SEPHORA?

 

Please stop responding to these pleas for help with we will let the appropriate people know.  They know.  Thy choose to do nothing.  PLEASE Do Something.  

 

Will it take an influencer posting about this to make you take notice?
