GIFT CARD FRAUD

I am extremely angry and confused right now as I had a 50 dollar gift card that I just received. It was brand new I just scratched it off and went in to make a purchase today. When I went to go pay they told me there was a balance of $0.00. I called costumer service and Sephora today and they told me someone made an online purchase yesterday but IT WAS NOT ME. I asked if they could cancel or give me some information. They told me no and just told me they couldnโ€™t tell me the account that was used or anything but the fact that it was used yesterday. I am not sure how that is fair as I just basically lost $50.

Hi!  I Wanted to also share my experience!  I received a gift card for my birthday on September 8th.  Went to go use it on September 12th at a local Sephora, my card was declined.  I was instructed to call the number on the back of the card, when I did they were absolutely no help at all.  Was told to contact the person who gave me the card so they can deal with their credit card company to dispute.  They know they have a problem and wonโ€™t do anything to help us consumers.  This is unacceptable,  I will make sure that no one ever purchases a Sephora gift card for me again!

The same exact scenario happened to me in March. The only difference is that my gc was wiped out the same second an associate swiped the card inside the store. The customer service told me it was used online. Did Sephora do anything to make you whole again? Ridiculous! ๐Ÿคฌ

Everyone keeps receiving this response when we post about the gift card issue and NOTHING gets resolved. The same issue happened to me and this Sephora representative responded to my post with this same exact message. She private messaged me and told me that she canโ€™t do anything about this issue. Donโ€™t pretend that youโ€™re helping fix this issue when in reality you just repeat whatโ€™s told to us when we call Sephora costumer serviceโ€ฆ that there is NOTHING you can do about this. And that we just have to accept our loss. This is truly unfair.

Iโ€™ve seen all your replies and Iโ€™m sorry thatโ€™s happened to you ๐Ÿ˜ž  Iโ€™m not going through the exact same thing but my issue is with an online return that Iโ€™m not getting refunded for so I understand the pain you must be feeling. I was going to buy a sephora gift card this week, but these comments made me decide Iโ€™m better off giving something else. One thing is for sureโ€”if itโ€™s happening to THIS many people, it cannot be a coincidence.

Exactly, very shady whatโ€™s happening here with Sephora. Iโ€™m gonna delete my account and no more gift cards!!!
