False Advertisement

The very first question on the FAQ: What does a subscription to PLAY! by SEPHORA include? A: Inside each box you'll find Five deluxe skin care, makeup, or hair care samples (plus a fragrance bonus!) that are curated by our experts. 

While it does also state that the products are selected based on the answers we provide in our profile, Sephora does advertise plus a fragrance bonus as part of each month's box and should stand behind what it advertises to consumers regardless of what it conveys to their employees what they send out. While this may seem like not a big deal, and it isn't, the bonus fragrance each month was the major contributing factor to me subscribing to PLAY! 

Totally disappointed that I didn't get a fragrance in this month's box. Even though I won't be getting a fragrance this month, Sephora did rectify this situation and the customer service reps I spoke with were very nice. Sephora needs to either correct their advertisement on their box or follow through on their advertisement and give every box every month a fragrance.

Thank you taking the time to share your concerns with us. I am so sorry for the miscommunication on our end. While each box will contain an additional bonus sample each month, the products will vary as they will not always be a fragrance. We are currently in the process of updating the FAQs to reflect this. I'm happy to hear that one our customer service representatives was able to assist you with this and thank you for your understanding!

While I am understanding, Sephora as a company has an obligation to provide what it advertises. PLUS means in addition to.
