Expired sample

Hello, I went to buy something at Sephora yesterday. I signed up for the rewards point and they gave me a freebie which is an Unseen Sunscreen from Supergoop. It says the expiration date is on 08/2024. I mean I know it's just a freebie but if I had not checked the expiration of this product I would have used it and damaged my skin perhaps. Any information on what I should do?

I encountered the same problem, mine was the cicapair sleeping mask, it expired on 2023/12/20. I tried exchanging the freebie for a non expired one at the same store but was told that the batch that it came from will all have the same product(all expired?) so I contacted customer service, and they gave me extra points(150 to be exact) and I was told that they would ensure that they would check the stocks. So I really recommend contacting customer service so you could get extra points and exchange it for another sample product. Hope this helps!:)
