Exchange without Receipt

Has anyone been denied exchange without receipt?

No, they told me that I wont be able to make an exchange without a receipt for a year.

I have. If it doesn't show up in your purchase history and you don't have a receipt in canada they no longer will do a straight exchange (that's what I've been told). I tried to exchange an eyeshadow palette I received as a gift after Christmas that had a broken shadow).

In my experience they will only exchange to a different color of the exact same product..

 

Example: Foundation

 

Otherwise they treat it like a return and if you don't have a receipt they run you through their TRE (The Retail Equation) algorithm to see if you are abusing their return policy and can ban you for a year from making returns. This is all tracked through your Driver's licence, which you have to provide when you make a non-receipt return.

 

If you bought this within the last 30 days, click on "My Account" and "My purchases" and you can print off your order yourself and take that as the receipt.

No, I have never been denied an exchange without a receipt. Did you give them your VIB account when you made the initial purchase? They should have been able to look it up.
