Events that do not exist?

I received an email invite to a Sephora event, I RSVP'd, and received a second email confirming my attendance.

Then, I received a third email reminding me of the upcoming event.

On the correct day, at the correct time, in the correct location, I showed up... and nobody at the store had any idea about the event I was there to attend!

Here is the extra kicker:

This is the third time this exact scenario has occurred, involving a Sephora event that I show up to, but it doesn't exist.  

So weird! 

Is this happening to anyone else?
