Empty foundation

I bought a $74 Estée Lauder double wear foundation from Sephora last week in person. I was so excited to use it but when I opened it at hope the bottle looked used and half empty. I already threw away the box because I knew I wasn’t going to return this foundation. I don’t want go back and be suspected of lying. I spent $300 at the store, I don’t know what to do.
